About Mission Command Center of Excellence

The Mission Command Center of Excellence (MC CoE) was established to lead the execution of the Mission Command Warfighting Function (MC WfF) for the Army. The MC CoE provides a balanced and comprehensive approach to developing capabilities that advance both the art and science of mission command.

To facilitate this new mission, MC CoE collects and analyzes lessons learned as they are fused at the Center for Army Lessons Learned and transfers those lessons learned to CAC-T and CAC-LD&E to maintain leader and Soldier currency and relevance. CALL can quickly transfer knowledge Army-wide through the production of handbooks, newsletters and on-line professional forums. MC CoE can further distill these lessons into long-term doctrine through the Center for Army Doctrine Development (CADD). The Army Irregular Warfare Center supports MC CoE Irregular Warfare (IW) information exchange and DOTMLPF development activities across the Army. Finally, MC CoE, through the Capability Development Integration Directorate (CDID), develops resource-informed, integration-focused, outcome-based solutions that enhance our current force, supplement our future force, and leverage existing joint capabilities across the Army.
